AS YOU KNOW, HERE AT GYONE, WE’RE HUGE FANS OF THE LOVELY TEAM AT GROW, SO WHEN WE GOT A WHIFF OF THEIR LATEST CHARITY COLLABORATION WITH DELOITTE IN GUERNSEY, WE COULDN’T WAIT TO CELEBRATE IT WITH OUR READERS.
Deloitte has teamed up with GROW to create a cookbook featuring recipes from local chefs and restaurants on the island. The initiative, fully funded by Deloitte and designed by Two Degrees North, aims to raise funds for the charity by celebrating its fresh produce and all it offers the island of Guernsey.
‘The cookbook idea was born out of the first lockdown where members of our team were spending more time at home cooking and growing produce’, said Jo Huxtable, Partner at Deloitte. ‘Our first thought was to create a small leaflet, but then we discovered that it had the potential to be so much more.
Marguerite Talmage, Director of GROW Ltd, continues, ‘This cookbook is a work of art, and it’s been so fascinating to see it come together. The pictures are beautifully taken and it’s great to promote a variety of GROW’s produce as well as some of the best chefs on the island.
‘We are thankful to Deloitte and Two Degrees North for making our cookbook happen. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with them and are grateful to the Chamber of Commerce for their support with our launch.
GROW provides a safe and secure working environment, where people with learning and other disabilities can build up their self-respect and confidence to be able to work and interact within the community.
The cookbook, which we think is the ideal Christmas or birthday gift, is available from many of the participating restaurants, several other outlets and GROW for just £10, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to GROW.
