Autumn Beauty Trends

Okay, so summer may be pretty much behind us but let’s keep those seasonal blues at bay with these latest looks fresh from the catwalk. From bold brows and statement eyes to fresh foundation and a s

lick of Hollywood glamour, these top five autumn trends are bound to light up beauty regimes across the Bailiwick as the nights start to draw in. Enjoy!

Blunt fringe: It’s impossible not to have noticed that the fringe is having something of a moment in 2021 and it’s set to continue. The good news is, if you’re not a fan of the blunt bowl-cut, tousled and textured alternatives are still bang on trend (pardon the pun!). Choppy, layered or super short alternatives will all help you nail the look right into the festive season.

Barely-there make-up: Everyone’s been giving their skin a break over the summer months and the trend for barely-there make-up will last well into the change of season. Neutral palettes are in so let the rest of your face do the talking by providing a fresh canvas to work from. Adopting a more natural look will provide the perfect base for bringing out those bolder features, from bold brows and lips to statement lashes and liner.

Feline flick: Another look that’s finding form this autumn is the cat flick. The catwalks were full of the winged feline favourite but this season's

trend goes beyond just black, smoky eyes. If you want to play the game then you’ll need to nail the grungy look with eye liner top and bottom. If black’s too bold then think autumnal greens and browns will provide a subtler nod to your style credentials.

Big brows and luscious lashes: This year has been synonymous with fluffy, feathered and full brows and they’ll be staying put this season! More is definitely, erm, more, so ditch the tweezers and make sure that you bring attention to those bigger brows by highlighting your lashes with generous helpings of rich, dark mascara, perfect if you’re embracing the cat flick too.

Big, bold lips: If you’re a lipstick fan then autumn’s pucker trend is for you! We’re talking big, bold Hollywood glamour with full, red lipstick experiencing a huge revival. It’s all about making your pout pop with eye-catching colours and, if you’re a fan of lipgloss then you’ll be thrilled to hear that shiny, butter lips are back too – pass the balm!
